Is it worth buying cheaper books from Amazon? BPP and Kaplan also hold an Amazon account, and are selling older books quite cheaply. The editions are for 2010 and 2011. Am I going to be at a great disadvantage by order older texts?

For Paper F6 you need June/December 2012 edition

others are out of date, there are different tax rates and rules..

You will struggle to pass F6 using out of date text books. You MUST use current ones. I realise they cost more but there are changes in syllabus, tax rates etc.
