Here is my qstn.
Shareholders require 15% return on their shares. The company has just paid dividend 29c per share. Over the past years the company has paid dividends of 20c, 22c, 25c and 28c.per share( more recent dividend last)
How this 29c came?? As I see last divided per share is 28c. Can you please explain me why 29c they use ?? I see answer they use 29c.
The question says that the latest dividend is 29c because they have just paid it. The other dividends are for past years. So 28c was one year ago, 25c was 2 years ago, and so on.
Normally in questions they give dividend ? Or we have to find in some qstns?
If it is a question requiring you to calculate the market value using the growth model formula, then certainly you will be told the dividends.
