Hello,
Depending in the circumstances, can a divisional structure be referred to as “a collection of functional structures”?
I have never heard that d3scription and I’m not sure it’s useful.
Divisions have within them their own functional structures or departments (sales, production, R&D etc).
Sometimes, certain functions can service more than one division. For example, theremight be a single accounting function somewhere organisation that services every division’s accounting needs.
