Dear P3 Tutor
Yesterday, I visited a supermarket NTUC to purchase groceries. I notice previously the customers used to queue at the cashier and pay their purchases, now, the customers are able to self service and make payment by scanning the items and pay by NETS or Credit Cards. Can I call this “HARMON BUSINESS PROCESS RE-ENGINEERING?
Q1 ai) identify and analyse mistakes made by CEO in the project management process (Initiation, Conduct & Termination).
What does the questions want us to do? What does “Conduct” refers to? is it management attitude and behaviour or processes of implementing the software?
Thank you
I would cateforise it as automation and removing bottle necks. I don’t think the scan your own approach (especially with the deeply iritating ‘Unexpected item in bagging area’ messages!) is radical enough for BPR.
No, not that sort of conduct. By conduct here it means ‘execution’ or the ‘carrying out’ of the project. So, the question wanted you to look at errors at the three phases:
1 Initiation (what? Why? When? Who? How much? etc
2 Carrying out the project (eg sticking to deadlines, cost budgets etc, appraising change requests carefully and avoiding project drift).
3 Project reviews, benefit realisation etc.
