I am of the opinion that improving processes goes from process improvement at the operational/functional level through process redesign at the business/tactical level to process re-engineering at the strategic/corporate level.
Is this correct we could not agree so we need your help.

It can be described like that, but whether it is useful to do so is another matter. Improvement/redesign/re-engineering must be a continuum and I’m sure you could argue that process redesign can occur at an operational level as well. I think that the matrix setting out the type of change (incremental/big bang) and scope of change (limited/wide) is more useful. This gives the quadrants called adaptation, evolution, revolution and reconstruction.
