Sir, I am confused whether how many budgeting would be examined in the F5 exam?? And how many budgets would involve calculation and the rest with the theory?

It is not F5 any more – it is now Paper PM 🙂

I cannot answer your question because the examiner can ask questions on budgeting in all of the three sections of the exam, and questions can be either calculation based or be theory. Every exam is different and the examiner can do whatever she wants.

Over the exam as a whole, always approximately 50% of the questions involve calculations and 50% are theory (covering all topics).

I assume that you have a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA Approved Publishers, and so attempting all of the questions in the kit and attempting the mock exams provided in the kit will fully prepare you (assuming obviously that you have watched all of our free lectures) 🙂

What I meant was whether how many types of budget (such as incremental, rolling, and flexed) are being examined in paper PM and whether how many types of budget are calculation based and how many are theory based?

What I know is that budgeting that involves calculation are:
    1) Incremental Budgeting
    2) Flexed Budgeting
    3) Rolling Budget

    Budgeting that involves theory are:
    1) Zero-based Budgeting
    2) Activity Based Costing

Is that all types of the budget that are being examined?

I am confused as to how many types of budgeting are there because I am self-studying 🙂

Please let me know if I am wrong
