The supplier of Material CD gives a 10% discount on the excess of purchases over 6,000
kg per period. ( part of question 453 in kaplan kit )
material per kg = 3.7
after discount = 3.33is this mean only the material that exceed the 6000 will be discounted , if 6800 that mean 6000 normal price and 800 discounted ? because that how they solve it for 6800 =24864
what if they said 10 % discount on purchases over 6000 ?
I do not have the Kaplan Kit (only the BPP Kit) but on the wording you quote it does mean that only the excess i.e. the 800 are discounted.
The alternative would be for the question to state that if the purchases exceeded 6,000 then all the purchases would be discounted.
