What is the budgeted cost of goods sold given the following for next budget period (in $’000)? Sales 5,000; Fixed manufacturing costs 2,000; Variable manufacturing costs are 40% of sales revenue. Inventory levels are expected to remain constant.
Could you please help me with this question?
Why are you attempting a question for which you do not have an answer? You should be using a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers – they have answers and explanations.
The variable cost is 40% x 5,000 = 2,000. The fixed cost is 2,000.
The total cost of goods sold is the total of the variable and fixed costs.
I do suggest that you watch my free lectures. The lectures are a complete free course for Paper MA and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
