I am not really up on admin matters like this. The best I can suggest is to contact the ACCA BSc. Office at acca@Brookes.ac.UK
I suggest you email now as the P35 submission window has opened and Office can be expeced to get busy from next week onwards.
November 6, 2017 at 6:31 pm #414591Hi Trephena,
I have verified my eligibility for submitting the RAP, register as mentee and chose my mentor. Ready to start to prepare my RAP to submit in May 2018.
Does the registered account created for the mentee can be used to submit the RAP?
If not, do I have to create the new account before starting my RAP or I can do later on.Thanks and Regards
Gabriella
November 9, 2017 at 3:15 pm #415005Hi Trephena,
I believe there are queries which are more urgent these days due to the upcoming deadline for the Period 35 submission, however I would appreciate if you could clarify my doubt as soon as you have the chance.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Gabriella
May 27, 2018 at 2:04 pm #454262Hello trephena,
I have a query regarding obu research paper, there are total 9 areas in obu research.. so my question is, do I need to pass all the 9 areas of this research paper?Note: I know I should have asked this question to my mentor rather than asking you but my mentor is confuse in this matter… so I thought that I should ask this question to you
May 27, 2018 at 6:34 pm #454301First can I please ask that you don’t open a new thread each time you have a new question (please see ‘Help keep our forums tidy!!!!’ ) ? Instead look at the first 3 or 4 pages of our list of threads or use key words in the search facility to find a possible existing suitable thread before deciding that you need to open a completely new one. Thanks
Please consult Appendix 1. To pass the report you must pass criteria 1-7. To pass the SLS section you need to pass criteria 8 & 9. If you fail any of these you will be required to resubmit. Please consult the Resubmission Guide that explains the resubmission rules.
June 20, 2018 at 2:47 pm #459472Hellp Trephena,
I have to inquire about the BSc program. As I have not yet opted for this degree, so do I need to make the payment promptly once I opt for it or after passing the fundamental papers F7, F8 and F9?
Hope to hear from you soon!June 20, 2018 at 8:49 pm #459510It is VERY important that you ensure that you are opted in to the degree programme BEFORE you pass these papers AND ALSO that you have satisfied the English language requirements first. If you do not do this then you will NOT be able to enter for the degree.
You only pay a submission fee when you submit your work but your ACCA subscription must be up to date as well
July 21, 2018 at 11:26 am #464118Hello everyone ! Can someone tell me how long it takes to get your degree after result? I have to send the degree for assessment to WES and i need to know how long would it take for me to recieve my degree after result.
July 21, 2018 at 4:29 pm #464152Not sure about a month I think for the certificate but you can request and pay for a transcript which may be slightly quicker
July 21, 2018 at 11:42 pm #464186Thanks for your response.
So i can pay for a transcript the same day as my result and get it before my degree? Does OBU allow this?
July 22, 2018 at 10:24 am #464213I can only give general advice about administrative matters so you would have to contact acca@brookes.ac.uk for a definite answer

Hii
I need some advice. My last date for submission of the RAP is May 2020. However, I might not be able to clear all my applied skills papers by then. I have four papers remaining. Can I appeal to submit in November 2020 or later?
Has anyone done so before?
Thank you
November 14, 2019 at 10:28 am #552594I think you will find that unless you can provide certified documentary evidence of past very serious illness to show you were prevented from sitting the exams earlier, the deadline will not be extended.
It is a case of clearing exams so if you managed to sit the last one(s) in March and then passed them, you would know this in April and provided you have also passed the Ethics Module by March 2020 you could submit in Period 40. Realistically this is your only hope.
January 3, 2020 at 1:46 pm #556776Can i do obu bsc after doing p-series( after giving all exams) or it have to be done strictly after f9 before starting professionals?
PS: im not talking about being opted into bsc before f9 f8 f7. Im opted into it.
January 4, 2020 at 4:20 pm #556835Provided you will still be within your 10 years of registration by 1 May 2020 you may submit your work for the degree. In fact it can be an advantage doing the work as an affiliate as you will not have to fit it in around exams.
January 14, 2020 at 6:01 am #558563do we still have to complete F4 before F7 to remain eligible for the OBU BSc?
January 16, 2020 at 3:44 pm #558868You are only eligible for the degree if you are either an affiliate or have only the professional papers let to sit. Additionally you must be within your 10 years of registration at 01 May 2020 and have cleared the Professional Ethics module by about 25 March 2020.
Some students start their work before completing all of the pre-professional papers but they cannot actually submit it until they have passed those. This is normally fine as most topic titles do not change however it is inadvisable to prepare a Topic 8 or 15 for May 2020 unless you are certain you will submit then as the industry sectors are due to change for Period 41

Hi Gillian. Thank you for your reply. I am trying to clear the papers by March 2020 but my last exam eligibility is May 2020 so I would not able to be submit by then because the results would be out in April 2020 and one need to register three months before the submission period. Am I correct in my understanding?
January 19, 2020 at 7:55 pm #559114You are correct – the March results come out in April. You need to have just the professional exams left (or have finished your exams completely – be an affiliate) in order to qualify for the degree programme. However you could start to prepare your RAP now break off early next month to study for exams and return to the RAP preparation immediately after sitting hem and provided you have finished all the foundation exams by April you would have fulfilled the requirements to submit in May 2020
February 10, 2020 at 3:34 pm #561290Hello everyone
Iam actually invited to Dubai Graduation for 22 Feb 2020 ,is it possible to delay and change graduation to Oxford in the Uk ? Because of time pressure and for some personal reasons
Can any one help please
February 12, 2020 at 7:32 pm #561549I don’t see why this should be a problem. You would have been invited to attend in Dubai because of your location and address. If circumstances have changed notify acca@brookes.ac.uk and tell them that a Uk ceremony would now be more appropriate (I believe these are being held in the first week of September). I would hope that they would be able to accommodate you for one of these (there will probably be 2 or 3 ceremonies then). Good luck!
February 17, 2020 at 7:17 pm #562158Hi,
I have a rather specific question, but something I’d greatly appreciate any assistance on.
It relates to the dates of Financial statements for the submission period 40 in May 2020.
The main entity most recent financial statements are as listed below, with the next set of financials not ready until after the May 2020 deadline:
1 April 2016 – 31 March 2017
1 April 2017 – 31 March 2018
1 April 2018 – 31 March 2019However all comparative companies don’t have FY19 accounts available yet, with the below dates of published financials being the most recent:
1 January 2016 – 31 December 2016
1 January 2017 – 31 December 2017
1 January 2018 – 31 December 2018The 2019 financials won’t be available until after the submission date for period 40 for any comparative company I’ve found.
There is only a three month difference in the financial year ends of the above, but the headings for comparison data vs actual is likely to look odd. Is it OK to use companies with the above dates as comparison?
If so could the headings be labelled as 2016/17, 2017/18 & 2018/19 for the main focus entity, with the comparisons labelled 2016, 2017, 2018 with an explanation paragraph or comment in the introduction explaining the slight difference to the reader, or how would you suggest best to do this?
I’m keen to make it clear to the reader that the data is a close comparison despite the different Year End dates, without over-complicating it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
February 18, 2020 at 8:39 am #562193I have dealt with this elsewhere
March 30, 2020 at 1:30 pm #566149Did i need to pay again 380 pounds if my report or SLS failed or even both.
March 30, 2020 at 1:31 pm #566151Yes
