Dear Kim,
When I am drafting an email to the audit partner, can I use “us” meaning the audit firm or auditors?
For me it would be a sensible thing to do because “we” used for audit reports when we say “we audit financial statement” and describe “our responsibilities”.
I am not sure if it is appropriate to use pronouns for the exam.
Thanks in advance,
Artem
Dear Artem – that is a very good question.
If you look at the latest available answers, for example https://www.accaglobal.com/an/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/p7/past-exam-papers/international-stream.html S/D21 – you will see that there is no mention of “us” – and only one “we” and one “our” (which I suspect were oversights).
For a more professional sounding answer – pronouns are best avoided – an exception would be if you were quoting what you might state in an auditor’s report.
Dear Kim,
Thanks for your reply.
It helped.
Artem
You are most welcome!
