This relates to interest rate and currency rate swaps.
some times when one party is paying interest to other party, they(kit) place brackets around it and some times they don’t. That is sometimes they treat it as an addition and sometimes as a subtraction. I am getting confused there.
In a swap receipt/payment when do we put brackets?
It doesn’t matter whether or not you put brackets – all that matters is that you are adding or subtracting correctly.
What we pay to the counterparty gets subtracted(added to our borrowing) and what we receive from the counterparty gets added(subtracted from our borrowing)? Finally the swap fee gets subtracted(Added to our borrowing). Is that right?
Correct 🙂
