    Hi,

I would be grateful if someone could help me with this. I don’t understand where the numbers for reallocation (direct labour and mach usage) are coming from? Could someone please help me with this calculation? Thanks

I am sorry, but I do not have the BPP Study Text – only the Revision Kit.

If you are watching my free lectures then you do not really need a Study Text – the lectures are a complete free course and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.

However you choose to study, the book that you must buy is the Revision Kit. The Revision Kit contains lots of exam standard questions to practice (together with answers and workings) and practice is vital to passing the exam.

Thanks John for getting back to me so quickly. I had an exam exemption from paper F2 and and in this textbook there is a full costing (based on overheads calculation) chapter which they say I should have covered in F2 paper. I am quite lost here because I haven’t done F2 paper and I am struggling to get the same numbers as they do in the textbook. How likely this chapter (overheads calculation) would be tested in the exam? Thanks

Absorbing overheads is examined (and I revise it in my F5 lectures on Activity Based Costing). Allocation and apportioning overheads is not asked in F5.

Again, my free lectures cover everything needed to be able to pass F5 and do revise the relevant areas from F2.
