Dear Mr. John,
Kindly check the answer of operational usage variance is it correct or not because as I remember we have to use the revised standard price not the standard price. ( RSQXRSP – AQXRSP ).

What has happened is this:
There are two different ways of calculating planning and operational variances. They give different answers!
The previous examiner did it the most sensible way, but the new examiner does it a different way (which is easier) but not as sensible. However, she said that she would accept answers doing it either way.Secure Net was set by the previous examiner and the examiners own answer did it the ‘old way’ (the way that the article on the ACCA’s website does it). However BPP have now changed the answer to do it the ‘new’ way.
I will record a new lecture explaining all of this in the next one or two days.
