Hi Sir,
The option B says “Environmental management accounting systems typically make use of life costing.”
I beleive this statement is false becuase environmental accounting methods are various including flow accting, abc etc.
But the answer says the statement is false
I am puzzled because the answer in my BPP Revision Kit says that the statement is true – which is correct. It is true.
If you watch my lectures on EMA then you will see that life-cycle costing is one of the methods used.
Sorry ..it was typing error from my side. My question is shouldnt the answer be false because environmental costing uses not only one method of life cycling. It is one of the methods. There are actually more than one right?
The question is not saying that it only uses life-cycle costing – it is saying that it typically makes use of it i.e. that it is one of the techniques that will typically be used (but it is not saying that it will be the only one).
So BPP are correct, and both statements in the question are true.
