Hello,
I plan to take my two exams (FR and TX) for the first time at ACCA. I have the BPP practice questions, and it is a little overwhelming to determine which questions to tackle. I have not completed watching all of the lectures. My question is, do you do the practice questions after every chapter or watch all of the lectures?
Thanks so much!
Welcome to OpenTuition and our forums! When you have completed a chapter and lecture you should first attempt the practice questions https://opentuition.com/acca/fr/acca-financial-reporting-fr-practice-questions
You should then be able to make a could attempt at the Section A style 2-mark OT questions in the BPP kit.
However, many of the Section B 10-mark OT case questions have one or more Qs on a topic other than the main theme (e.g. an “IAS 16” Q may also have a Q on IFRS 5). Therefore, to avoid being disheartened and to not “waste” these Qs, you could leave these until after you have completed your study phase.
The 20-mark consolidation Qs you should not attempt until you have completed all consolidation-related topics and similar arguments can be made for not attempting other 20-mark Qs too soon.
For technical Qs about FR, I recommend you Ask the FR tutor https://opentuition.com/forum/ask-acca-tutor-forums/ask-the-tutor-acca-financial-reporting-fr-exams
Thanks so much!
