Its a section C question.
part c asks
“Discuss the ways in which a company can issue new equity shares” (5 marks)
Was I wrong to include bonus issue? The model answer doesn’t.
I specifically stated in my answer that a bonus issue doesn’t raise new finance.
Thanks in advance
I am away from home until very late tonight and so I cannot check the question wording.
If there was no other indication then you would get marks for mentioning a bonus issue. However the reason I want to check the question itself is because if (for example) the earlier parts of the question were referring to raising new finance then obviously (as you have stated) mentioning a bonus issue would not really be relevant.
