    Dear Sir,

    This both the mcq they have solved differently,

    46.8 they say 4000 OUTPUT require 4444.44 and they use 5100 so difference is yield variance

    48.8 they say 5750 INPUT should produce 4791.67 and they produce 5000 so difference is yield variance.

    Can we solve this both in only 1 way output/input, if not, then why they took in example OUTPUT and in one INPUT to get variances.

    In the first case they will have costed at the average standard cost for the input.

    In the second case they will have used the average standard cost per unit of output.

    You can do it either way – the answer will be the same.
