    Greetings sir.

    17.1
Does ‘successfully’ not indicate effectiveness ?

Also, how to differentiate between choosing between effectiveness and efficiency in future such questions.

    17.12
    Please explain the answer.

    Thankyou

17.1 Effectiveness would be measuring the proportion of patients that were successfully treated, not how much it costs to treat them.
I gives lots of examples of the difference between effectiveness and efficiency in my free lectures on this.

17.12 The more resources that are used then the more it will cost. So of the choices available the only reasonable measure would be the cost per consignment. None of the others directly measure how much resources they are using.

17.1 Do please elaborate some more on how cost per successfully treated patient would elude to efficiency. Please explain this particular answer specifically.

    17.12 Thankyou sir.

If they are more efficient they will be using less resources and it will cost less.
My previous answer was referring to this question specifically!!

A measure of effectiveness would be what proportion of patients were treated successfully, and that has nothing to do with how much it ended up costing to treat them. Just spending a lot on treatment doesn’t mean that the treatment is necessarily successful.
