sir in notes there is no topic related to the fisher’s ideal index. in Kaplan textbook also not given can you please explain
Fisher’s ideal index is not listed in the syllabus for Paper MA.
However it is the square root of (the Laspeyre index multiplied by the Paasche index).
But sir, why bpp has listed the fisher ideal index in the practice kit. Also, can you tell exactly why it is calculated?
I do not know why it is in the Revision Kit – you need to ask BPP 🙂
It is an approximate attempt to get the benefit of both Laspeyre and Paasche, but isn’t really used in practice at all.
