I read the following on a PAPER F5 Q&A SESSION PRESENTED BY ACCA from about a week ago:
Idle time is caused by a bottleneck…remove / reduce the bottleneck and
idle time would be reduced
How can this be proven? Please can you give me an example?
Thanks
When there are several processes, then the slowest one is the bottleneck and slows things down for all of the processes.
That means that there will be idle time in the other processes.
Right, thank you
