    Hi all,

I was wondering if you could help me out.

When looking at books on the Kaplan and BPP website, I noticed that they state they’re only valid until the June 2015 exams. When I look at them on Amazon however, the latest ones seem to have been published in 2013.

Since I have just started ACCA, I don’t think I’ll be taking an exam in June yet. I was wondering if the publication date really matters, and what the consequences are if I use a study text valid until June 2015 for later exams, if any?

Thanks so much for your help,

    Mariska

    Hi Mariska,

To the best of my knowledge, you can use the old edition study text for the three starting papers (F1,F2,F3) because the content is 99% same. I myself used the 2012 edition when I gave my exams in Jan 2015.

However, you should use the new edition exam kits, because the old editions might have the questions designed as per the old format.

    Good day all
    In respect to Mariska’s question,
What if you have exempts on the bases does the old edition for other levels be used for 2015 exams?

For other levels… 1 yr old edition might be sufficient…

Later then that it might not… because the format keep changing as well as syllabus..

The best thing you can do to make sure… is to compare syllabus from ACCA website with Syllabus on the Book (BPP has it not sure about Kaplan) of the Paper your studying… mild changes are OK if there are significant then better to change it..

You can get Syllabus for each paper on ACCA website…

    Regards

Don’t buy from Amazon – they tend not to stock the latest editions.
Better to buy direct from BPP or Kaplan and it will always be the latest edition.
