Hi Sir,I’m looking for an introduction lecture on Bonds..where in your lectures can I find it.im studying P4 but didn’t do F9 so feel like I need to go back to the basics on this topic.
Bonds, loan stock, loan notes, and debentures are different names for the same thing – long-term debt finance.
You can find about them in the following chapters of the F9 Lecture Notes (and the lectures that go with them):
Chapter 12 “Sources of finance – debt”
Chapter 15 “The valuation of securities” (which is calculating the market values)
and
Chapter 17 “The cost of capital” which deals with calculating the cost to the company of debt finance.
Thank you
You are very welcome 🙂
