The currently relevant syllabus guide for Sept 2016-June 2017 states that section A2c from the former syllabus has been deleted.
A2c was “Evaluate the impact to an organisation of a move beyond budgeting”.But the technical articles (TA) on the ACCA website still have a TA on Beyond Budgeting.
Is this still an examinable topic or not?
Also same exact thing with the Performance Prism, section E1d “Discuss and apply the Performance Prism”.
November 14, 2016 at 11:11 am #348873Neither are currently examinable. 🙂

November 15, 2016 at 3:26 pm #349086Hi Sir,
How do I get access to some of Shane Johnson (new examiner for P5) past questions for practice for Dec 2016 sitting?
Thank you.
November 15, 2016 at 4:46 pm #349101Sorry, no idea.
November 16, 2016 at 3:48 pm #349286Sir, Value-at-risk is not mentioned in the syllabus guide, was not in F5 but there is a section about it on a P5 TA “The risks of uncertainty – part 2” and the current BPP study text recommends this TA and it’s first part and specifically mentions Value-at-risk.
Examinable topic?
November 16, 2016 at 6:03 pm #349335VAR is in the P4 syllabus. It is not mentioned in the P5 syllabus and I’m sure is not examinable there.
November 16, 2016 at 6:28 pm #349345Alright, let’s hope it’s not…
I really don’t wanna get into it, got too many other topics I wanna get comfortable with.
January 22, 2017 at 9:04 am #368836Hi
Any reason why they got rid of Beyond Budgeting? It was such a big section before and relevant that I’m curious why.
Regards
Ed
January 22, 2017 at 2:56 pm #368880They have been worried about the P5 pass rate so perhaps it was removed to reduce the syllabus burden.
April 9, 2021 at 8:04 am #616540Is beyond budgeting still not examinable for September 2021?
April 9, 2021 at 3:05 pm #616577No. Hasn’t been on the syllabus for some years.
April 26, 2021 at 5:41 pm #618897Are there any other topics that are not examinable that we should be aware of ?
April 26, 2021 at 7:03 pm #618904What sort of question is that? Most things in the universe are not examinable.
Look at the appropriate ACCA syllabus for details.
