I took a 2 year break from the ACCA exams. I have the 2 option papers left to finish. I just paid for P5 and P7 exams for the December 2017 sitting.

What is the recommended study technique to ensure a pass for P7?

Read my article on exam technique (towards the bottom of the P7 home page)

Read the article on exam technique by a member of the P3 marking team “From a marker’s perspective” (towards the bottom of the P7 home page)

Read the examiner’s report from the last couple of exams

Read the last 10 technical articles (you’ll find the link towards the bottom of the P7 home page)

Get hold of a revision kit / exam kit from a reputable publisher and READ, READ, READ

Over and over again, question, answer, question, answer, question, ans… until you are totally disheartened and sickened by the sight of a P7 revision kit

    And then read it again

Pay great attention to the verbs and the specific requirements and how the printed solution has attacked those requirements

And then, somewhere around November 20, post again and I’ll give you the second (and final) instalment of advice on how to prepare for the P7 exam in December

    OK?
