Guys i plan to give F9 along with an Professional paper (essentials) paper in December’s session but am unsure which paper to select with it. Any advise would be appreciated
Hi,
Personally I would exclude P2.
P2 is a very tough, time-pressured paper involving both calculations and written parts. I think F9 and P2 together would be a nightmare.
P1 & P3 are both “wordy” papers where you will need to apply theory and models to specific scenarios. You will not get many marks for just recalling everything you have learnt, so practise of many past questions is still vital.
P1 syllabus is relatively narrow compared to P3 so, maybe P1 and F9 could be a good combo, especially if are short on time.
Hope this helps.
I agree P1 is the best option, it is not easy but it does have completely different focus, it is “wordy” exam so totally different compared to F9. You will probably enjoy P3 more than P1 as it reflects real life and actually the exam is not that boring 🙂 P3 although requires more to spend in order to pass but a lot of people loved this paper.
Take care
Helena
Thanks alot @palmy and @Helena for the advise. I surely would consider it.
