I’m struggling with the planning stage as the advice I’ve been given is to read the exhibits once and never again.

This means planning all the answers in one go and it’s a huge amount of information to juggle and keep all the question requirements in mind while reading.

I prefer skimming the exhibits once to allocate to the requirements, then tackling a question at a time with more detailed reading to plan the answer before typing up.

    Any advice on approaches?

I’m with you. You can’t possibly absorb exhibit information on one read-through.

For more detailed planning of an answer, put paragraph headings onto you answer page, then expand these later when you come to write your full answer.

Ok great. Thanks. Instead of 40 mins planning at the start I’ll take about 15 mins and spread the rest over the exam. I like having the exhibits open as reference while answering, which is more like real life.

I’ve told you before, that we believe the level of detail in our notes is correct.

You’ll find the COSO material on p97 of our notes.

Study in more or less detail if you want. That is your choice.
