hello, i have seen some guesses suggesting benefits management (from project management) may be attempted, is benefits management same as benefits realization?
Many writers lump them together. However, I think it’s better to think of benefits management as more do do with project planning. There are different ways in which a project could be carried out, with different costs benefits and disbenefits. A decision has to be made regarding cost v net benefits both at the start of a project and if, part way through, there are requests to amend it.
Benefits realisation can be thought of as happening near the end of the project where it is important to ensure that the benefits planned are fully realised.
