Basis periods – Please provide an example

Hi,
need some consultation on basis periods.
Here is the example: commencement of business 01.08.2008 & preparation of accounts on 30.06:
Am I right (especially regarding TY3):
Tax year No 1: 01.08.2008 – 05.04.2009
Tax year No 2: 01.08.2008 – 30.06.2009
Tax year No 3: 30.06.2008 – 30.06.2009
Can you please give me example than the second year is exceeding 12m.
