Colin Drury calls 4th perspective of BSC as learning and growth, Bpp book (latest) calls it innovation and learning.
Colin Drury suggests innovation like investing in assets or Research and Development part of 3rd perspective( as innovation process of internal business perspective .)
Any ssuggestion ?
I would stay with BPP. It’s not that CD is wrong, but you don’t have to over analyse these theories for P5
Kaplan and Norton’s original article (in Harvard Business Review of September – October 1993) talks about Innovation and Learning. Later they preferred to regard innovation as a critical internal process. However, I don’t think the P5 examiner really cares very much. The important think with the BSC is to recognise that there is more to success than just financial measures.
The ACCA answer to Q4 in the Sept/Dec hybrid paper refers to ‘innovation and learning’.
