Sir, what is the difference between continous weighted average, periodic weighted average ?
With continuous weighted average, the average cost is calculated every time new inventory is bought or sold (this is the normal AVCO and I work through a full example in my lectures).
With periodic weighted average (which is less common) the average cost of all purchases is calculated at the end of the period.
