Professor, in book, it states that automated is more secure than manual due to security checks and different type of checks.
However, I think manual system can more safer as it is not open to entire world. It is only accessible to person physically available. In automated, there can be virtual world and cyber attacks which can be more immense so how is it more safer?
Yes, but any properly administered IT system should have passwords, firewalls and encryption. These defences go a long way to safeguarding the system.
If these were not present it would be equivalent, in a manual system, to having the books of account open on a desk with no locks on the office doors.
