Good day Sir,
Kindly clarify me on the difference between Auditor’s OPINION and Auditor’s REPORT.
Again, where appropriate can these phrases be used.
Thank you.
The auditors’ report you’ll find (generally) towards the back of the “book” that is the financial statements of the audited enterprise. It sets out matters such as the scope of the audit, the respective responsibilities of the auditors and the directors, the basis of the auditors’ opinion …..
The auditors’ opinion is an integral element (the fundamental element) of the auditors’ report and is the clear expression of the auditors’ opinion on whether the financial statements show a true and fair view of the state of the enterprise’s affairs as at the accounting reference date and of its results and statement of cash flows for the period ending on that date
Ok?
Thank you Sir, I appreciate your response.
You’re welcome
