Are they same? If both( Audit work and procedure) were asked in the question, how should i answer? Does it denote Test of Control or Substantive test or both ?
audit procedure: AEIOU: analytical procedure, enquiries, inspection, observation, recalculation.
audit work: i believe thats the same as audit approach. if system is strong, then test of controls. if system is weak, then substantive procedures
