Audit partner and Auditor

I’m confused that terms audit partner, engagement partner. Are they auditors? Can you explain it?

They are essentially the same.
In large audits, several partners can be involved, perhaps in charge of the audit of different divisions of thr company. The partner in overall chsrge and responsible for the audit report is the engagement partner.
