Hi
In one of the past exam questions the question has asked benefits of audit committee for 4 marks.
This means we have to write 4 points, as each point will carry 1 markIn examiners answer one of the point written is that “Audit committee can provide advice on risk management to executive directors. They can create a climate of discipline and control which will reduce chances of fraud and increase public confidence in credibility and objectivity of financial statements. ”
I want to ask that if the above single point I break it into 2 separate points i,e
1) Audit committee can create a climate of discipline and control which will reduce chances of fraud
2) Audit committee will increase public confidence in credibility and objectivity of financial statementsSo would these 2 points be enough to gain 2 marks? Like is point num 1 sufficient to gain 1 full mark and similarly is point num 2 sufficient to gain 1 full mark?
