After taking FR, which paper I should take next?
I heard that FM has a huge syllabus but AA has a very low pass rate……
I would largely try and ignore the pass rates in your decision making process. Ultimately after starting qualification, everyone has to pass (or on what I would assume to be rare occasions become exempt from passing) every paper on the road to becoming an affiliate ( and ultimately usually on the way to membership). I think part of the problem people have with AA is that a large part of successfully tackling the paper involves successfully understanding the audit and assurance process. Also, I would argue, exam question practice is even more important than with other subjects. Hope this helps.
In terms of which one to take next, a useful factor to consider may be which option papers you think you might want to take at the strategic level. I can understand if you may not have made up your mind with any certainty ,especially since you have not tackled either finance or audit papers at this stage. Generally, it has been suggested that the advanced papers are taken relatively soon after corresponding fundamental skills papers ( SBR relatively soon after financial reporting, options papers relatively soon after fundamental papers) with the exception that it is strongly suggested that Advanced Audit and Assurance be taken after Strategic Business Reporting. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for your suggestion!
You are welcome.
