When will an auditor go into a company to audit ?
Is it after the year end ? Or during the year ? If its after the year end are they auditing the last years fin statements ?

Hi The auditor will go to the client office before the year end and after the year end.
Before the year end to take stock count and interim audit and after the year end for final audit, attend AGM etc…

There are usually two visits: interim audit before year end and final audit after year end.
Lots of the testing and documentation of internal control will take place at the interim audit. Substantive tests are carried out at the final audit.
