I have attempted paper F8 4 times, scored 47% twice and 46% in the June 2014 exams.I strongly believe that I understand the questions very well.Even when i read the examiner’s feedback,I realize that I followed most of the steps. So what can really be my problem? Please help me out.
The only thing left is the style or way in which you write your answers.
Make sure you explain fully each point you are making (picture yourself trying to explain it to a 15-year old person, with no accounting experience). If you find yourself writing one or two word bullet points, you are doing it wrong. You need a couple of sentences normally to explain properly.
Make sure you adress the problems in the scenario.
Make sure you address all parts of each section of a question. Beware questions like: “Describe and recommend…”: many people ignore the requirements after the word ‘and’. Try underlining the verbs.
Allocate your time and don’t leave out any questions you should attempt.
