Hi Mike,
Can a company who is doing the audit for a listed company provide an assurance service if they have sufficient safeguards in place for eg separate audit teams?
I believe that this is acceptable, so long as the audit committee approve and that the partner in charge of the audit confirms the firm’s independence in writing including arrangements for ensuring this independence remains in place when non-audit work is undertaken
OK?
