It wouldn’t be an exam if you know exactly what to study and where to study. So, my best advice would be study hard and cover all areas without concentrating on a specific topic or part of the syllabus

They are in the syllabus as assumed knowledge from Paper F2.
ABC questions often include traditional absorption as well.
Knowledge of marginal costing is necessary to be able to understand topics such as CVP analysis.

If you are using the OpenTuition Lectures and Lecture Notes then everything you need to know about absorption and marginal costing is covered.

I’ve been trying to download some f5 text and exam kits but I got directed to so many other sites which I think may not be real. Any suggestion where I can download without running the risk of getting my computer infected/hacked? John Mofat

The only places where you can download Study Texts and Revision/Exam Kits legally are from the publishers own websites, and then only when you have paid for them.

To download from other websites is both illegal and unethical. In addition there is, as you say, the risk of infecting your computer, and the likelihood that the books are old editions.

If you are using our Lectures and Lecture Notes then you do not really need a Study Text anyway. The one book that you do need is a Revision/Exam Kit because they contain lots of exam standard questions, and question practice is vital.

Thanks Mr Moffat! But how will I be able to use your lectures and lecture notes? what are the costs involved? Also, I live in a country where internet connection isn’t that good, what are the alternatives available to me?

Our lectures and notes are all free of charge.

If you are unable to watch the lectures due to your internet connection then you have no alternatives except to purchase text books from one of the approved publishers and use them (or alternatively to pay to attend a course if there are any near to where you live).
