    Hi,

Are Section A and B Applied Skills exams marked manually or by the computer? I had a question where I didn’t round up during my workings and instead rounded at the end so I was a penny off and therefore my answer was “incorrect”. Would this be marked by an examiner if so would we be awarded the mark?

    Thank
    Suzanne

All OT Qs (whether Section A or Section B) are automarked – because they are “objective” rather than “subjective”, they do not require human intervention. Which is why it is really important to adhere to any instructions about rounding for “number fill” questions, in particular.

That said, automated marking can be given more than one answer to be marked as correct.

And, all OT results are collated and reviewed by statisticians to look for outliers/potential issues that might have to be revisited.
