I know that one of the major differences between Financial & Management Accounts is that Financial Accounts are for external users like Shareholders whilst Management Accounts are for internal managers.
However the BPP Study Text has listed “Employees” as Financial Account users even though I would consider Employees to be internal to the business. In other Study texts i’ve also seen Employees listed as Management Account Users.
In an exam would it be safe for me to assume that Employees can be listed as users of both Financial and Management Accounts?
Employees have access to the financial statements and are stakeholders.
Only management are likely to have access to management accounts – not general employees.
