Well that is disappointing”I applied for membership on 16 January 2017 and still waiting for any response. I was under the impression the committee would meet this Friday. Hopefully I do not have to wait another week!
Desperate to explore the job market but only want to do so with my membership status.
When you login to MyACCA it should say something like “Graduate Waiting transfer to membership” at the top next to your membership number and you’d get an email saying your application is approved. This all needs to happen before the committee meeting. The committee meeting is a bit of a formality. It sounds like you’ve not been approved yet so it’s probably better that the meeting will be next week, not tomorrow.

Keep checking online to see when you change to full member. I’d expect it late next week, assuming the committee meeting is February 2nd or 3rd.
I didn’t get any email when I got membership, I’m expecting that to come via the post at some point soon.

my profile is currently showing “Graduate pending member”. i will watch to see when it will change to member.
Can i use the ACCA in front of my name now? also my account shows annual subscription of 95 and membership fee of 231. am i suppose to pay both? i would think that the membership fee has embedded in it the membership annual subscription. Any insight would be helpful.
January 26, 2017 at 11:02 pm #369869Technically you can’t use ACCA until the committee approves your membership.
The £95 is your fee for 2017 and was due at the beginning of the month. You also now owe £231 for moving from student to member. It just looks more expensive when you apply in January. If you’d applied in June you’d probably not even think about it 🙂

January 27, 2017 at 12:07 pm #369935Yes once myACCA shows you’re a member you can use ACCA designation.

Hi, mine got approved yesterday. Wondering if there is likely to be a members meeting tomorrow – I hope so. Good luck to anyone else in my positionI submitted my application 16 January 2017, did my due diligence and called every working day since then to confirm all is in order and things are on track. Further to hopefully gain info on when the meeting is happening for approvals.
Finally yesterday on the 11th working day, I queried again concerned about the 11 days between application and approval and they contacted the members department who had never received my application due to a system error.
So like you I have just had my membership application approved yesterday, really hoping I do not need to wait another 10 working days for membership approval.
Disappointment of note, still cant use the designation. (Or apply to new job opportunities, or update Linkedin with my credentials.)
February 8, 2017 at 10:08 am #371587i am working on my PER and trying to get my experience signed off. Is it okay if i use the same external IFAC qualified supervisor to sign off on my difference experiences and my PER? and it would not cause any issues?. Thank you
February 9, 2017 at 10:56 am #371730Mine now reads, ACCA graduate awaiting membership & when i track it says application complete awaiting transfer to member. cant wait.

Working at an audit firm would be considered public practise per ACCA, even if it is in a jurisdiction outside the UK, right? So long as such work related to general audit work being done by the firm (I.e Not just being the payroll officer at an audit firm)?

I would seem every other Friday they meet and by the afternoon applications to membership are processed. However I noted that people were being admitted weekly after the recent exams so hopefully they are still meeting weekly for your case. Either way the trend seems to be next week Friday for you or the following Friday.
Congratulations!
