Got my certificate today. Got to say it is smaller than I have expected.

Anyone going to make an A4 size plague out of it?

Does anyone know how long it will take for them to process my application?

I applied for membership yesterday, and submitted my Approved Employer Exemption form. MyACCA Track the Progress of your application page shows that I applied yesterday. But the main page of MyACCA still shows me as ACCA Affiliate, how long will it take to change to Graduate Pending Member? Also, should I have had an email from ACCA saying that my application is being processed? I’ve not heard anything yet!

    Hi guys,
I got an invitation for the membership through an email, afterwards i replied Yes to the mail while also attaching the required “approved employer exemption form”. Then a few days later they sent me a mail saying my membership application was accepted and also paid the 205 pounds. My question is , can i now say that i’m now an ACCA member? since i received the e-mail saying my membership application is accepted or do i have to wait till they seal my membership at their council meeting which i was told would be on 15th June.. a few days from now.. Thanx in advance. πŸ˜€

    Hello guys,

Congrats to those who have finished with their ACCA hell πŸ™‚ really excited for you.
I have another 3 exams left, so aaaalmost there.
Can anyone tell me how the procedure goes.
I have been working for the BIG FOUR for 36 months already.
On the myacca site i pressed button to claim exemption from PER.
Is there anything else I have to do to make sure everything is fullfilled ?? πŸ™‚
    thank you in advance.

What’s this about an email requesting your acceptance to membership?

Once I passed my last exam last week I applied online via myACCA, is that correct? My myACCA portal has been updated to say application received, but I’ve heard nothing further yet. How long does it usually take before you get a confirmation email?

Also, has anyone ever had ACCA query anything in their application, i.e. the POs or the 36 months?

Hey, Congratulations to all the members! I am a month away from completing my 36 month experience.
Can you all share your experience of answering the challenge questions? How long am i expected to write? Are there any sample answers (other then the ones on ACCA website) that i can look through?

    Thanks.

I got an invitation for the membership through an email, afterwards i replied Yes to the mail. Then a few days later they sent me a mail saying my membership application was accepted and also paid the 205 pounds. My question is , can i now say that i am an ACCA member? or i should have to wait until the 12 days passed? Thanks.

    Hello Miya,

It’s nice you contact ACCA connect center via the customer care line, they should confirm that to you. I want to belief you are now a member, I’ve been charged 205 pound but my status still reflect graduate pending member. I didnt see any mail yet.

I got a mail stating that my application for memebership has been accepted and that my certifcate will be seal and dispacthed 6weeks following the ACCA council meeting in September 19th.

    All the best!

Go to https://www.acca-business.org/dom/ and type in your name. Also, you can check your myacca page to see your admission date.

I have finally completed all objectives, just waiting for my mentor to sign them off, hoping to apply for membership next week. Just curious to hear how long does it take ACCA these days to approve an application. Thanks in advance for replies.

Btw, I applied for membership on Sunday night, 17/11/2013 (it took my mentor 6 weeks to sign off my objectives) and received email confirmation today, which is less than 3 working days. The email says “Your membership status shall be awarded within 12 working days, subsequent to the next meeting of ACCA’s Committee members, with written confirmation dispatched to you shortly thereafter. Your membership certificate will be sealed at the next meeting of ACCA Council which is scheduled to take place on 23 November 2013. Please allow up to six weeks from this date for delivery of your certificate.”

DO you have an auditor? Your auditor in conjunction with your company’s boss can sign off on your PER.

    kterriq,

You have to answer those by yourself. This section is designed to test your practical knowledge certified by your immediate boss to establish its veracity. As a qualified accountant you should not initiate any action to achieve this without any effort from your end.

And I am sure you will not get any answers from this forum, as seeking this service openly is equal to seeking permission for copying in ACCA exams.

I hope you understand the matter. I wish you all the best

Hello Guys if you receive the confirmation email that state that you application has been approved can you use the ACCA designation at the end of your name or you still have to wait for the certificate? My current status is “Graduate pending member “

    Can anyone help me?

I have 30 years of work experience and signed up to ACCA 7 years ago with my previous firm. I cannot remember exactly what was involved at the time I signed up, but my previous firms auditors were involved in some way.

I moved jobs 6 years ago and started actual study of the exams 4 years ago. In all this time my PER has been marked 9 out of 9 essentials and 7 out of 11 options achieved. I therefore presumed with all my relevant experience I only needed to pass the exams and the Ethics module that I have now done.

On Monday my status report showed everything ticked off and I applied for membership.

Yesterday, I got an e-mail saying I had not asked the challenge questions and to complete them. When I looked at the status report all my PER had been reset to not achieved! Speaking to ACCA was a waste of time – I had more success talking to HMRC. They just kept repeating that my PER was not signed off, ignoring that it has been marked achieved for the last 7 years.

My current firm has no Accountants who can sign it off and our current Auditors are refusing to, as they say they have not been involved in my training. Not that I need any training after 30 years!
