Yes the member number is still the student number – If you login to MyACCA there are a few stages of titles besides the member number

1.) Member no xxxxxxx – Student (If one has not passed the exams)
2.) Member no xxxxxxx – Affiliate (If one has passed all the exams and are pending either the completion and signing off of the Performance Objectives or passing the professional ethics module or waiting for them to invite you to membership.
3.) Member no xxxxxxx – Graduate pending member (If one has applied for membership and ACCA has received all the relevant documents and has sent a notification that your membership application has been received.
4.) Member no xxxxxxx – Member (certificate is sealed. another 6 weeks ACCA will deliver the full membership certificate)

As you can see, stages of the title changes but the number will not.

Isn’t the certificate only issued once the ACCA Council session is held which I have been told is now at least two months away…wouldn’t it take more than 6 weeks to get the certificate now?

The ACCA Council Session was held 16 March 2013 (which was yesterday).

According to the email by ACCA, the certificate takes 6 weeks to deliver.

For my case, when I login to MyACCA, my status has been changed to member. The only wait for me is the certificate so that it can be made into a plaque.

By the way, I submitted my application before Mar 2013 and the email states the ACCA Council Session is on 16 March 2013 in which my certificate will be sealed.

Maybe yours is the next ACCA Council Session as you have mentioned that you have only submitted on the 5th March 2013.

I guess since they send these certificates all over the world, it might take 6 weeks to get to some places hence they try to say the last possible day. I think i should be able to get in 2 weeks here in the US and pple in the UK maybe 1 week. Lets just check our letter boxes.

    Hi pkacca,

Basically, I am fine with them sending over in 6 weeks or even more than 2 months as I can wait for the certificate.

I am not sure but you may try to call their hotline and ask if they can give you an extract or something so that you can have it for your job application or whatever purpose. I am not sure whether that can be done or has anyone done it before.

Congrats to your membership admission and best of luck in your future endeavours

    pkacca:

If you are member, in your MyACCA, there is a section called services under
    RESOURCES FOR ACCA MEMBERS

You can try to send email to ACCA Connect to see whether they can expedite the delivery of your certificate.

I think you must be joking. Once your myACCA online is member, there is no such app status. Who are you trying to kid?

Chill bro, everyone is waiting for the certificate receipt.

If you wish to know the status, you can go to MyACCA login -> Services -> ACCA Connect and send them a note.

Maybe they may reply. I have not tried but am just waiting for the certificate to land on my lap.

My application correspondance also says the Membership Certificate was issued on 18th March. I don’t expect to receive it until the end of the 6 weeks that the confirmation email says.

To rfdude – If you want to check your application progress log on to myacca; click on administer fees (to get to eBusiness page); click ‘View Application Details’ at the top right; Then click ‘View all related correspondance’ under the blue box.
