I applied last week to become a member and today I noticed when I tracked it said graduate pending member. I checked fees and membership fees where due £231. So I paid that but still no email since last week about membership. When I paid I got receipt of payment.
What should I do contact them or just wait and see

Your initial membership status does not hinge on whether or not you have paid your membership application fees. The council meets Bi-Monthly to approve new applications, usually the approval or membership update is done later on a Friday. So if it was not the last Friday then hopefully you would see your membership update this Friday

It reads as though saying 12 weeks from 17th June , doesn’t it ? “please allow up to 12 weeks from this date….”
May 12, 2017 at 12:19 am #385904I passed my last exam in April this year; I have sent the invite to my manger to sign off my experience and also send her a document with my objectives; 1 month later and she said she saw something from acca and she will take the time to sign… it is so disappointing :(; I remind her twice, and I know she is busy but i did work hard to pass and really want that membership;
also I think she won’t signed all the objectives, which is fair enough, but I told her to sign the once that she agrees with. And than we should discuss what work should i do to achieve the others.
I have also told her that the 1st step is to sign my experience, but she is so perfectionist that she said she will review the objectives first..
I am also applying for jobs and I think I will resign soon; I feel embarrassed in the same time that I asked her to take the time for me and I will leave; but on the same note I think this is her job too,and I hope she will sign before I leave the company..
no idea how to go around it; I have 4 years experience in this company; I do want that membership. They have to sign it, right? not sure if they will sign all my objectives thought..
it is partly my fault; I should have sign the experience after 36 months with them, and do the objectives, few each year. But I knew they are gold approved employer and I can claim most of them. She said everyone is applying via the non-approved schemes, as they cannot monitor each person.. 🙁 so they have that certificate for nothing;
any ideas, help?

Customer OperationsMay 24, 2017 at 2:23 pm #387843i am now an ACCA member as of today, although i saw now that i have to pay 231 for membership fee
is there a penalty if i do not pay this fee within the due date? will my membership be revoked?
May 29, 2017 at 12:38 pm #388761I made on my application to become a member via myACCA on 29/05/2017, is there enough time for my application to be processed and approved for the June 17th council meeting?
May 30, 2017 at 5:01 pm #389060I have applied today for my membership; So I guess in few days time my fee will show as due and I should pay it.
I did pay the student fee for 2017; now as I am applying for membership, do you know if I will be asked to pay for half of 2017 and / or I will receive a refund for my student fee (half – year) ?
What I cannot understand is how we can get our Qualification certificate. For me there are 2 things: 1 your qualification certificate (pass all exams, get experience and objective approved) and Membership. In my mind I can qualified but choose not to be a member; however in my job application I can say that I am acca qualified without being a member?
All I have is an Affiliate certificate saying that I have passed all my exams ..anyway I will apply for the membership… but the whole process is not that straight forward..
Many thanks..
June 1, 2017 at 2:34 pm #389466Hi,
Has anyone PER with respect to lecturing experience at university level or in fact any level teaching accounting and finance? Also,has anyone applied for membership with lecturing experience in addition to other work experience. Would appreciate it if someone could help me out with the procedure.June 20, 2017 at 10:37 pm #393632The council meeting was scheduled for 17th June. The information from ACCA states it would take 12 weeks from that date for the certificates to arrive. Does anyone know if there is a chance for it to happen any earlier ? Not being impatient but im about to start a new job on 10th July and the new employer has asked to bring the original certificates on day 1. Just wondering if there is a chance or it will have to be the letter of good standing i would need to use ? Would appreciate if someone can advise. Thanks
June 28, 2017 at 12:54 pm #394264I finished up everything in April, paid fees and was ‘transferred to member’ on 28th April at which point I appeared on the directory and got a nice ‘Congratulations your welcome pack is on its way’ email on May 3rd and yet still, some 8-weeks later absolutely nothing in the way of a certificate has arrived. Anyone know when the council meeting took place and how much longer it will likely take for the cert to arrive?
June 29, 2017 at 7:04 pm #394342Hello,
Please kindly alert us if you have receive either the welcome pack or the sealed certificate sequel to the June council meeting.
Kindly state your country in the post.July 5, 2017 at 9:27 am #394733Well, it’s shifted on the website from ‘transferred to member’ on 28/04 to ‘Membership Certificate Issued’ on 18/06 – but still no sign of the cert itself some 2 weeks later. Anyone have any ideas?

July 31, 2017 at 3:13 pm #399709Finally, a member now. I applied for membership, last Monday (24/07/2017), I received the approval email last Friday just before knocking off that my application was approved. My status this morning was still “Graduate pending member”.
At about… it changed to Member. I have remained calm ever since I received my result on 17 Jul 2017, even when I got the email last week. Man, but I saw member this morning, I think a shed a tear for a second there.
All the best to those who are still studying. Thanks to BPP material and OpenTuition, 2 years of self-study now over!
