SECTION A – Q1 (i)
How have the Budgeted Catering, Cleaning, Other Operating cost been calculated for BEC. Am sure it is simple but unfortunately I am unable to figure it out at present after several attempts.
Catering – 92,000
Cleaning – 39,000
Other Operating Costs – 588,000Please advise.

GinaCatering: 92,000 = Fixed of 20,000 + flexed variable 100,000 x 80% x7,200/8,000
7,200 = 3,800 + 1,400 + 2,000, the actual number of students. Budgets are flexed to match actual results if they are going to be useful for comparison.
Cleaning: 39,000 = Fixed of 30,000 + flexed variable 40,000 x 25% x 7,200/8,000
Other: 588,000 = Fixed 600,000 x 80% + flexed variable 600,000 x 20% x 7,200/8,000

I honestly have to say that Open Tuition is way more reliable than the other ACCA training providers that guarantee a response within 4 working hours but do not deliver even after 8 hrs have passed.
