Looking for feedback/recommendations for both APM or AFM exams? I received exemptions for PM & FM exams.

I plan on sitting ATX in September and then either APM or AFM in December. Leaving SBL until last.

    Hi @emmathomson1,

Well, I never took APM since I had chosen AAA and AFM from the optional papers. Having said that from what I know AFM is a popular choice of students amongst the optional papers.

It will be wrong to say that one is easier than the other because that is not true! One subject may seem easy to some students whilst the same would seem difficult to others.

So I would say choose the one which you find more interesting. For me that would be the deciding factor because if I find it interesting, I will be able to study it better since I would enjoy it. Afterall, all ACCA papers are challenging (not trying to scare you – just stating a fact 🙂 ).

You have got exemptions for PM and FM means that you have the assumed knowledge required for APM/AFM.

Since you plan to give APM/AFM in December, I would say in the meantime explore the subjects using resources on the ACCA website and here on the OpenTuition website. Go through PM/FM resources as well.

Additionally, here is a link to my response to a similar question.

    Hope this helps.
