    Hi there,

Has anyone gone on to do APM that was exempt from PM?

How did you find preparing for this?

Is there any advice you could offer to help someone starting out?

    Thanks

    Hi

I was exempt. the concepts are they same but the PM exam is more technical in nature. APM is more professional so you will asked to give solutions and recommendations as if you were a consultant

but that’s the case with all strategic professional

    Hey

I was exempt from PM and sat APM. I studied with Kaplan and used OT lectures where I needed too.

My advice would be to read up on PM assumed knowledge and learn (Re-learn) the basics. That’s what I did first.

Do the lectures/self study but make sure you set aside a few weeks prior to the exam, to do exam questions once you have the knowledge. I think this was key for me. This and also reading the examiners reports and technical articles as well.
