I’m looking ahead to plan out how I will study for the professional papers. I’m comfortable continuing to study online by myself for my remaining F papers so won’t bother with classes for these. I’m in London so have several classroom options. Has anyone tried classes and can share their experience, is it worth the cost? My employer may pay so I want to make sure it’s good value for money.

I’m open to continuing self study but worry about the step up required alongside a lack of time and space (between two kids, work and the house).

    Hi,

So attending classes and self studying, each of them have their own pros and cons.

    -Self- studying:

It is certainly more cost effective
Has more flexibility – you can study at your own pace

However, there are chances of slacking and distractions also

    -Attending Classes :

    It is comparatively more costly
Less flexible – need to match your pace with that of the classroom lecturers.

In contrary, attending classes keep students more organise with their studies…
If someone has complete focus in class… They would need to put in less efforts when they go back home and study. This would mean they could ideally cope with other commitments (work, family etc)
If someone is attending face-to-face classes then they can interact with the lecturers face to face in case of queries and doubts.

Now in order to decide, one may consider factors like can they manage to adjust time for attending classes… And not only time but energy as well. You surely wouldn’t want to attend the classes with an exhausted mind and end up sleeping during the class!

It all comes down to how you will manage your schedule and which way will best work with your current situation.

And to know about the classroom options you have, you can also go to their websites and/or their social media pages to read the students’ reviews and get an overall idea.

    Hope this helps.
